ADULT LEARNING CENTER
Located in downtown Milwaukee, the Adult Learning Center is an excellent resource for people looking to earn their High School Equivalency diploma or GED. Many of their students are seeking better paying work opportunities and simply want more confidence in their ability to support their families. Other students express a desire to continue to higher education-institutions. Others would like to seek a specialized certificate such as in technology or manufacturing.

HMONG AMERICAN PEACE ACADEMY
Established in 2004 and located in Milwaukee, the Hmong American Peace Academy (HAPA) operates a college/ career preparatory K4 to 12th grade program. There are two points that make the academy unique. The first is 98% of the student body speaks another language other than English. The second is HAPA is an innovative school based on a triangular learning framework including Hmong cultural classes, standards-based curriculum, and a peacebuilders program.

HIGHLAND COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Opening in 1968 on Milwaukee’s central westside, Highland Community School was founded with a commitment to the neighborhood and the Montessori philosophy of teaching. Their method of education— which is parent directed, places an emphasis on hands-on learning and developing real-world skills. Their educators initiate learning in a sufficiently supportive and wellprepared learning environment.

GPS EDUCATION
For more than 19 years GPS Education has been uniting businesses, educators, and communities. They work to create bridges for students and business partners to unite and lift local economies through the development of young leaders. They have partnered with over 100 organizations and served over 50 school districts throughout Wisconsin. Their goal is that in the future, work-based learning becomes an accepted and essential part of the education system for high schools.

FOUNDATION OF THE WISCONSIN AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK DEALERS ASSOCIATION
Founded in 1991 in Madison, this foundation is a valuable resource for the state of Wisconsin’s high school and technical college transportation programs. That’s because its mission is to support educational initiatives that ensures the state has a highly-skilled transportation workforce. It is the only trade organization representing franchised and used truck and car dealers in Wisconsin.
