ARTWORKS FOR MILWAUKEE
Milwaukee, WI – The Artworks for Milwaukee is a youth career readiness organization that has been assisting Milwaukee high school students through paid internships since 2001. Two examples of their internships are graphic design and environmental arts. In both, interns will develop transferable job skills, confidence and leadership while working on community-based art and design projects. The interns will be able to contribute to the well-being of their communities through creative expression.
ECO JUSTICE CENTER
Racine, WI – The Eco-Justice Center is an environmental education center founded in 2004. The property includes a pond, pasture, creek, gardens, orchard, alpacas, goats, and chickens. Their purpose is to orient visitors with sustainable growing practices, promote experiential field trips, and provide childhood educational classes. Participants learn how to garden, learn how plant habitat is vital to preserving biodiversity, and get to sample different fruits/vegetables to expand their knowledge of healthier food varieties.

Milwaukee, WI – Employ Milwaukee is a local workforce development program that serves Milwaukee County. Their goal is to connect job seekers to employment opportunities, and to provide education and training options in fast growth-high demand sectors. Their belief is that by providing the means to have a skilled and sustainable workforce, it will attract, retain, and grow diverse businesses that promote regional economic expansion in Milwaukee.
FAMILY SHARING OF OZAUKEE COUNTY
Milwaukee, WI – Founded in 1973, Family Sharing is the longest standing food pantry in Ozaukee County. Their pantry provides food — at no cost — to residents facing deep economic challenges. Each year, they have provided over 500,000 pounds of food to more than 9,200 residents, including 300 people unable to access the pantry due to transportation or mobility challenges. They also offer an upscale resale store which the sale proceeds go directly to supporting the pantry.
HIGHLAND COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Milwaukee, WI – In 1968, the Highland Community School was established as Milwaukee’s first charter school by a small group of parents in the central west side of the city. They offer a holistic academic curriculum to 4,512 children in a nurturing environment that enriches, empowers, and inspires their students to reach their full potential. Additionally, their goal is for children to be informed, compassionate, life-long learners that are positive contributors to their community.

PHILIPPINE CULTURAL & CIVIC CENTER
Greenfield, WI – The Philippine Cultural and Civic Center was started 23 years ago in the Zablocki Park Pavilion. Its creation was founded by a community of Filipino Americans in Wisconsin that are committed to its mission of service to others. They offer cooking classes, charity initiatives, clothing distribution, health fair, and educational scholarships. Their free medical clinic offers child exams, blood pressure checks, pregnancy tests, and general adult exams.
