It was a busy weekend out at the Bodwéwadmi Ktëgan, Dec. 2-4, 2022. One event that was happening all weekend long was Brain Tanning where participants got to learn the traditional way of tanning a deer hide in over three different sessions.
The grand re-opening of the Potawatomi Carter Casino & Hotel (PCCH) was held on Nov. 11, 2022.
It was a big day for the Forest County Potawatomi tribe on Nov. 7, 2022. On this day, the tribe swore in two newly- elected officials and one incumbent in to Executive Council.
Great food and company were had at the weekly Elder’s Coffee Talk session held on Oct. 19, 2022, at the Potawatomi Community Center.
It was a beautiful fall day for the 2022 Swine, Dine & Dash held on Oct. 8 at the Bodwéwadmi Ktëgan. The event was sponsored by FCP Health & Wellness Center Community Health and was open to FCP tribal members and their families.
It is hard to believe that a whole year has come and gone since the opening of the Potawatomi Community Center!
A Wellness Fair for FCP employees and tribal members was held at the Potawatomi Community Center on Aug. 31, 2022, and was sponsored by FCP Occupational Health and FCP Health & Wellness Center (HWC) Community Health.
The Ka Kēw Sē Gathering Grounds in Carter, Wis., was alive and jamming the weekend of Aug. 19-21, 2022, for the 2022 Meno Keno Ma Gē Wen: Home of the Woodland World Championship Powwow.
After a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Potawatomi Gathering w2022 finally resumed where it left off with the Hannahville Indian Community hosting.
