Dr. Brad Kroupa, Executive Director of the Forest County Potawatomi Foundation, is an enrolled Arikara member of the Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikara (MHA) Nation. After receiving his bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Dr. Kroupa attended Indiana University, where he earned his doctoral degree in socio-cultural anthropology and the history of education. Dr. Kroupa has over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, youth leadership building, and developing community-based initiatives. Passionate about youth development, he is dedicated to driving impactful programs that empower young people and foster lasting positive change in communities.
Dr. Kroupa serves on multiple Boards, including Amplifying MKE Pathways, Milwaukee Indian Education Committee, Journal of Family Diversity in Education (Miami University), and is a Research Associate at the Institute for Indigenous Knowledge (Indiana University). Through these roles, he has worked to drive positive change, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, create lasting solutions for underserved communities and strengthen community resilience.
