END DOMESTIC ABUSE WISCONSIN
Madison, WI – Founded in 1978, End Domestic Abuse WI exists as a central point of contact for domestic violence victims and survivors, service providers, health, law enforcement, social service, and criminal justice professionals. End Abuse has specifi c goals in three key areas: ensuring a victim-centered response with equitable access to community resources, holding offenders accountable, and promoting a collective position that domestic violence is a community problem.
HOPE HOUSE
Milwaukee, WI – Located in the near southside of Milwaukee, Hope House has evolved from a short-term shelter into a longterm housing facility. Additionally, it operates as a community center that offers numerous programs and activities to assist children, women, and men suffering with homelessness. Case managers work with individuals to get up-to date on their rent and utilities. Outreach services offer health care, fi nancial assistance, food distribution, and educational opportunities for adults and children.
LA CAUSA
Milwaukee, WI – Established in 1972, La Causa has a mission to provide children, youth and families with quality, comprehensive services to nurture healthy family life and enhance community stability. To accomplish this, La Causa has morphed into a multifaceted agency that is comprised of fi ve divisions: Early Education & Care Center, Charter School, Crisis Nursery & Respite Center, Social Services for Youth and Adult Programs, and Administration.
THE NEW HORIZON CENTER
Milwaukee, WI – Founded in 1985, The New Horizon Center has a mission to encourage youth to become actively aware of and cultivate their greatest potential for human development so that they become productive, community citizens. Their Crisis Stabilization Specialist Program was created out of a need to help children and families better navigate crisis situations. Crisis specialists are specially trained to de-escalate and decompress problem situations.
NORTHCOTT NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE
Milwaukee, WI – Northcott Neighborhood House is a multipurpose community center that opened its doors in Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood in 1961. Their focus is to identify and respond to community needs. Services to adults include a focus on arborist, landscaping, construction, employment, training and fi nancial planning. Services to youth focus on hydroponics, fi nancial literacy, civic engagement, community services, recreational activities, and community activities such as the Juneteenth Day Parade.
PRISM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
Milwaukee, WI – PRISM was founded in 2011 to bring hope and opportunity to Sherman Park. PRISM catalyzes economic opportunity through its fl agship program, Upstart Kitchen, creating a thriving local food ecosystem and improving the conditions in which people live, work, and age.
